Arriving in Hokkaido today, start off with a delicious meal of barbequed meats at the cosy Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant. Feast on juicy, tender wagyu beef and more at this table barbeque restaurant, guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds.
Heading into Sapporo, spend some time exploring the city before enjoying a crab course dinner at Kani Honke. A crab specialty restaurant serving up a variety of crabs, savour succulent Hokkaido crabs prepared in various ways to enjoy the full range of flavours of this Hokkaido specialty.
Day 02 (Sun, 08 Jun’25)
Sapporo

You will have a free and easy day in Sapporo to enjoy its myriad of shopping and dining options. On this weekend you can also get a taste of a Japanese festival at the Yosakoi Soran Festival held in central Sapporo. Merging Kochi’s yosakoi dance festival with Hokkaido’s traditional folk song, Soran Bushi, Yosakoi Soran is an energetic dance display to the sound of wooden naruko clappers. Watch as different teams dance their hearts out with original choreography, colourful costumes and lots of energy! Or if you’d like to be part of the action, rent a pair of clappers and sign up to dance along in the parade!
Day 03 (Mon, 09 Jun’25)
Sapporo – Rishiri

Dive into the world of chocolate at the Royce Cacao & Chocolate Town this morning. Opened in 2023, this facility next to the Royce factory brings visitors on a journey of producing the brand’s famous chocolates from farm to bar. Learn how the chocolate is produced through fun and interactive exhibits, make your own original giant chocolate bar, and buy some chocolates to bring home!
After lunch, take a flight over to Rishiri Island to get ready for your exploration of the northern island tomorrow.
Day 04 (Tue, 10 Jun’25)
Rishiri

Begin your tour of Rishiri Island with a visit to Himenuma Pond at the base of Mt Rishiri. Both the reflection of Mt Rishiri in the water and the actual mountain can be seen at the same time from the path that goes round the pond. Then, take in the spectacular view at Yuhigaoka Observatory, touted as one of the best places to view the sunset. From here, you can look out over Rishiri and Rebun along with the Sea of Japan.
Rishiri is said to have the most delicious uni, or sea urchin, in Japan thanks to the abundance of nutritious kelp which they feed on. In a sea urchin cracking activity, learn the methods to harvesting the uni, and gain an appreciation for the labour which goes into producing this premium seafood. Try your hand at harvesting, peeling and cleaning fresh-caught uni and taste the fruits of your labour at the end!
Day 05 (Wed, 11 Jun’25)
Rishiri – Rebun – Wakkanai

Hop on a ferry for a day trip to Rebun Island where your first stop will be Kita no Canary Park, the filming location for the movie ‘Kita no Kanaria Tachi’, or ‘A Chorus of Angels’. A school building was constructed at this scenic location for the movie and remains as a museum of sorts, displaying costumes and memorabilia from the movie. Going round the island, make a stop at Cape Sukoton at the northernmost tip of Rebun from which you can see the vast expanse of sea and nearby rocky islands. Next, look out onto the stretch of rugged cliffs at Cape Sukai, arguably the best place to enjoy the clear sea water. Depending on light conditions, the water appears blue, green or emerald green.
Rebun is known as the floating flower garden due to its over 300 varieties of flowers, including many indigenous species and you can see and learn about these unique alpine flowers at the Takayama Botanical Garden. Going up to the Momoiwa Observatory, enjoy the alpine flowers on the rounded hill known as “peach rock” along with the view of Rishiri Island before you take a ferry back to Wakkanai.
Day 06 (Thu, 12 Jun’25)
Wakkanai – Chitose – Jozankei

Take a flight back to Chitose today and transfer over to Chalet Ivy Jozankei where you can spend the evening soaking in the comfort of your private hot spring bath. Nestled in the rich natural surrounds of Jozankei Valley, relax in the mineral-rich hot spring waters and enjoy the serenity you will find here.
Day 07 (Fri, 13 Jun’25)

Do some strawberry picking this morning and get your fill of the sweet and tart fruit! Head into a strawberry farm where you can pick and eat all the fresh strawberries you want!
Follow that up with a shopping spree at Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo Kitahiroshima. The biggest outlet mall in Hokkaido, shop for all your favourite brands at outlet prices at this large indoor facility.
Day 08 (Sat, 14 Jun’25)
Jozankei – Niseko – Lake Toya

Start the day at Takahashi Dairy Farm, a farm and facility producing all kinds of dairy products in the open landscapes of Niseko. This is the best place to enjoy sweets and other dairy products made from fresh milk including gelato, cheese, yoghurt, chocolate and more.
After lunch, take a ride up the Niseko Annupuri Gondola for some panoramic views of the area. A popular ski resort in winter, the summer gondola offers visitors a ride up to an altitude of 1,000m where spectacular views of Mt Yotei, Lake Toya, Mt Usu, Uchiura Bay, and the surrounding farmlands and forests can be had.
Day 09 (Sun, 15 Jun’25)
Lake Toya

Take part in a relaxing herb tea blending experience this morning at Herbal Ranch, a herb garden on a hill overlooking Lake Toya. Pick your choice of herbs fresh from the garden, then savour your freshly brewed original blend along with the picturesque views of Lake Toya.
In the afternoon, take a rest back at the hotel, or head to the Shikotsu-Toya National Park to see Mt Usu, an active volcano that stands at 737 metres high. Take the Mt Usu Ropeway up the side of the mountain for a panoramic view of the spectacular mountains and surrounding landscapes, along with neighbouring Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya.
This evening, catch the mesmerising fireworks display over Lake Toya from a special vantage point out on the lake itself on a fireworks cruise! Setting out into the serene lake after dark, get an unobstructed view of the brilliant fireworks bursting forth right above you.
Day 10 (Mon, 16 Jun’25)

Take in the sights at Onuma Quasi-National Park on your way down to Hakodate today. Selected as one of Japan’s New Three Best Views, the sight of Mt Komagatake reflected on the still waters of the lake on a clear day is sure to take your breath away.
