Arriving in Osaka this morning, begin your journey with beautiful flowers at Awaji Hanasajiki, a flower park with blooms in all seasons. In this period, the vast flower fields are decorated with brightly coloured salvia. Enjoy the spread of flowers along with the panoramic view of the Osaka Bay laid out before you.
Moving on to view some manmade works, enjoy some of the world’s greatest artworks all in one place at the Otsuka Museum of Art. This unique museum houses replicas of many representative works of art from masters such as Michelangelo, Monet, Picasso and more.

Founded more than two centuries ago along the historic Muya Kaido route, Honke Matsuura Sake Brewery has been dedicated to traditional sake-making ever since. Tour the brewery today and learn the rich history and meticulous process behind crafting premium sake, from selection of local rice and pristine water to fermentation and ageing. Gain rare insights into techniques passed down through generations and enjoy a guided tasting of several sake varieties.
Later, discover the mesmerising world of Awa Ai, Tokushima’s revered natural indigo dye known as Japan Blue. Visiting an indigo dyeing workshop, learn about the heritage of indigo cultivation and dyeing, a craft that has flourished here for centuries and remains a treasured local art. Then, get hands-on in an indigo dyeing experience, creating your own patterned textile using traditional techniques.

The most famous attraction in Takamatsu, Ritsurin Garden is a Place of Scenic Beauty and one of Japan’s most celebrated gardens. Created during the Edo period, this exquisite strolling garden features ponds, pavilions and carefully curated landscapes set against the backdrop of Mount Shiun. As you wander along its paths, each viewpoint reveals a picture-perfect composition, reflecting the refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese garden design.
In the afternoon, visit Takumikumo Village, a cultural enclave and bonsai garden dedicated to preserving and showcasing Japan’s traditional crafts. Discover the exquisite beauty and history of bonsai with a bonsai master as you stroll through the garden, then create your own moss ball in a bonsai craft experience.
Day 04 (Sat, 03 Oct’26)
Kurashiki – Onomichi

Before leaving Kurashiki, explore the historic town reminiscent of a bygone era. A former rice distribution centre, Kurashiki, literally ‘town of storehouses’, was centred around a system of canals with storehouses and merchant houses on either side. The Edo period storehouses have now been converted into museums, boutiques and cafes, while the willow tree-lined canal and stone bridges make the area extremely picturesque.
Go grape picking in the ‘fruit kingdom’ of Okayama and eat some of the succulent fruit this afternoon. Heading straight into the vineyard, have your fill of juicy grapes fresh from the vine.
Day 05 (Sun, 04 Oct’26)

Begin the day with a visit to Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens, a remarkable cultural complex dedicated to the philosophy and beauty of Zen Buddhism.
