Arriving in Narita this morning, head to Naritasan Omotesando Street, an 800m long old town street that still retains the charm of Edo period Japan. Walk along the shops, peruse locally-made products, and snack on yokan sweet bean jelly, rice crackers and more. Not to be missed are the many shops selling eel, the delicacy of Narita.
Travelling onwards to Ibaraki, take a ride on the Mt Tsukuba Ropeway. Travelling up the 877m high sacred mountain, one of the top 100 in Japan, you can get a view of the Kanto plains, the Pacific Ocean, and even central Tokyo on clear days.

Today you will have a professional photographer join you to capture beautiful memories of your holiday. Dress up and get photo-ready as you surround yourself with fields of flowers at the Hitachi Seaside Park! Located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, this spacious park is home to a huge variety of flowers and other plants. In this season, you will be treated to rolling hills covered in baby blue Nemophila, bright yellow canola, and colourful tulips.
In the afternoon, stroll round one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, Kairakuen. Constructed to share the enjoyment of flowers with not only feudal lords, but commoners as well, Kairakuen features plum trees, a bamboo grove, cedar woods and Kobuntei, a traditional Japanese style building. Take in the beauty of this garden full of flowers and greenery!

This morning begins at the sprawling Ibaraki Flower Park. Home to over 900 varieties of roses, the prefectural flower of Ibaraki, the park was renovated in 2021 to create an immersive experience for visitors beyond just admiring the flowers.
Kasama City is Japan’s top producer of Japanese chestnuts and at GRUYÉRES, a popular local café and confectionary shop, these chestnuts are used to create delectable desserts using fresh local ingredients. Try some of their chestnut desserts and other delicious creations for tea here.
Day 04 (Tue, 22 Apr’25)

Start this morning with a visit to Oarai Isosaki Shrine, built in 856 to enshrine two deities believed to be the creators of Japan. Uniquely, the shrine has three torii gates in different locations, the most famous being Kamiiso no Torii, a majestic torii gate standing on a rock facing the sunrise at the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
Located next to the Oarai port, Oarai Seafood Market is where the catch of the day can be found. Here, you can have freshly caught fish and shellfish cooked for you to try, and pick up some of their popular dried fish and other seafood products to bring home.
Considered one of the three most beautiful waterfalls in Japan, Fukuroda Falls is a sight to see regardless of the season. The 120m tall waterfall has 4 tiers that silver threads of water cascade down, surrounded by fresh greenery bursting forth around it. Admire the falls from the two observation decks at its base and top for two different, but equally attractive, views.

Go shopping this morning at Sano Premium Outlets, a large mall modelled after an American east coast town. Home to 180 stores featuring renowned domestic and international brands, you can indulge in shopping at outlet prices.
Get your fill of flowers at Ashikaga Flower Park, famous for its abundant wisteria flowers. Over 350 blooming wisteria trees create spectacular tunnels of purple, pink, white and even yellow flowers overhead. On the ground, over 5,000 bushes of azalea colour the landscape with bright blossoms that complement the hanging wisteria. Surround yourself with the gorgeous colours and sweet scents of flowers here!
Day 06 (Thu, 24 Apr’25)
Fukuroda – Nikko

Make a stop at Kegon Waterfall this morning, the most famous of Nikko’s many falls and one of the most beautiful in Japan. This 97m tall waterfall is the only outlet for Lake Chuzenji, a scenic mountain lake situated behind it, and is accompanied by about 12 smaller waterfalls to its side and back.
You will want to head back early to your accommodation at FUFU Nikko to enjoy all that it has to offer. A small luxury hotel surrounded by the lush forests, peaceful mountains, and flowing streams of Nikko, relax and unwind in the comforts of this Japanese resort where you are welcomed with exceptional hospitality.

Feast on tender and succulent Tochigi wagyu beef for lunch at Watanabe Farm, the first producer of this high-quality beef. Characterised by its rich flavour and refined texture, the delicious Tochigi wagyu served here comes from black cattle comfortably raised just minutes away from the restaurant.
Afterwards, take the train to Tokyo where you will have some free time to enjoy the city.
