Arriving in Kansai this morning, step back into olden Japan at Uzumasa Kyoto Village. A theme park and period film set, soak in the atmosphere of feudal era Japan as you enjoy the various attractions. Dress up in a kimono, catch entertaining shows, engage in cultural experiences, and, if you are lucky, see a movie being filmed here too!
Day 02 (Wed, 16 Dec’26)
Kyotango

Explore the scenic Ine Bay on a cruise this morning and catch sight of its iconic funaya from the water. Traditional wooden boat houses built on the edge of the water, the funaya create a picturesque scenery so beautiful that it has been awarded two stars in the Michelin Green Guide.
Then, head up to Amanohashidate View Land, an amusement park on one end of the famous Amanohashidate, a pine tree-covered sandbar and one of Japan’s three most scenic views. Enjoy the scenery along with fun rides, activities and games for the whole family.
Day 03 (Thu, 17 Dec’26)
Kyotango – Tottori

Travelling over to Tottori, stop by the preserved castle town of Izushi where you will get hands on in a soba making experience. Make the town’s iconic Sara Soba, uniquely served on five small Izushi-yaki plates. A must-visit icon of the Tottori, the Tottori Sand Dunes are a majestic sight stretching along the coast of the Sea of Japan. Climb up the impressive dunes and marvel at this natural wonder before admiring some man-made wonders at the Tottori Sand Museum. Featuring a different theme each year, be awed by the impressive sand sculptures by international artists at this one-of-a-kind museum.
Day 04 (Fri, 18 Dec’26

Get a rare first-hand look at Japanese school life in a very special FMJ Local Activity at Togo Elementary School today. Befriend the school children as they bring you through their day and discover how school life in Japan differs from Singapore. Learn the inspiring story of this small rural school with big dreams of cultivating a brighter future for the town and its children, and be touched by the passion and hope of the local community here.
After school, delve deeper into Japanese childhood with a visit to Warabekan, a toy and children’s song museum. Built to commemorate the ’89 Tottori World Toy Exposition, the museum showcases nostalgic children’s songs and about 2,000 toys from around the world, many of which can be played with.
Day 05 (Sat, 19 Dec’26)
Tottori – Chitose – Lake Toya

Bid Tottori farewell and fly over to the winter wonderland of Hokkaido today. Lodging by Lake Toya this evening, admire the peaceful lakeside scenery and catch the street illuminations around the hot spring town.
Day 06 (Sun, 20 Dec’26)

The small town of Toyoura is the birthplace of scallop farming in Japan and home to the World Scallop Fishing Championship. Discover the wonderful world of scallops on a visit here today and get a rush of adrenaline by taking part in our very own scallop fishing competition! Following that, head over to Mt Usu, an active volcano that stands at 737m high. Take the Mt Usu Ropeway up the side of the mountain for a panoramic view of the spectacular snowy mountains and surrounding landscapes, along with neighbouring Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya.
Day 07 (Mon, 21 Dec’26)
Lake Toya – Sapporo

Spend the morning amidst the snowy forests on a thrilling snowmobile ride. Cruising through snow-covered landscapes and forested trails, fully experience the nature of Hokkaido on this exciting ride and look out for some of Hokkaido’s wildlife! Afterwards, warm up in a mountain hut with a meal of Hokkaido’s signature barbeque, Ghengis Khan.
Arriving in Sapporo later, catch the Sapporo White Illumination and German Christmas Market in full swing at Odori Park as you enjoy free time to shop and eat around the city.
